I'm in a country where Tradovate is restricted. What are my options?

IIf Tradovate is not available in your country, you may use one of our alternative supported platforms.

  • TickBlaze (TickBlaze Market Data)
  • DxFeed-compatible platforms:
  • Quantower
  • ATAS
  • Volumetrica
  • DeepCharts

When purchasing your account, make sure you select the platform and corresponding market data provider you intend to use.

If you're unsure which platform is best for your location, please contact Support before purchasing.

I'm having trouble logging into Tradovate. What should I do?

Here are a few common things to check:

  1. Make sure you're using the credentials we sent you, not your personal Tradovate account. GFF accounts use separate sim credentials.
  2. Confirm that you're connecting to the simulation environment, not live.
  3. Try resetting your password through the Tradovate platform.
  4. If using the web version, clear your browser cache and try again.

If none of the above resolves the issue, contact our support team on support@goatfundedfutures.com with your account ID.

How do I connect my account to TradingView?
  1. Open TradingView and go to the Trading Panel at the bottom of the chart.
  2. Select the broker connection option and search for your data feed provider (e.g., Tradovate).
  3. Enter the sim account credentials provided in your GFF welcome email.
  4. Once connected, your GFF account should appear in the TradingView order panel.

If the connection fails, make sure you have selected the simulation environment — not live.

What is MDS (Market Data Subscription) and do I need to set it up?

Market Data Subscription (MDS) provides real-time market prices to your trading platform. GFF covers the cost of market data;you do not pay any additional data fees.

The market data included for free depends on your data feed:

  • Tradovate (CQG) — the full CME bundle is included (Top of the Book - L1)
  • DxFeed — CME exchange only. If you'd like to add COMEX (for metals) or other exchanges, contact our support team and we will enable it for you manually.

Without an active MDS, your charts may be delayed or certain instruments may not load. If your platform asks you to activate an MDS, select the required exchanges and proceed. If you are being asked to pay for market data that should be included, contact our support team.

What Market Data is included in my Challenge?

GFF provides free top of the book market data depending on your data feed:

  • Tradovate (CQG) — free market data for all CME Bundle.
  • DxFeed — free market data for CME instruments only. If you'd like to trade instruments on additional exchanges such as CBOT or NYMEX, reach out to our team and we will add this manually for you.

Note: Gold and Silver are listed under COMEX, not CME, so they are included in the free data when trading via Tradovate.

Can I add L2 Market Data (Depth of Market) to my accounts?

We currently don't provide L2 Market Data, however we are working on a feature which will soon allow you to purchase additional Market Data (Including Level 2) from your Dashboard.

Should I self-certify as Professional or Non-Professional?

Most individual retail traders should select Non-Professional. You qualify as non-professional if you:

  • Are an individual (not a company or institution).
  • Use market data for personal trading only.
  • Are not registered with any securities regulatory body (e.g., SEC, FINRA, NFA).
  • Do not work for a financial services firm that requires registration.

Please note that if you self-certify as a professional, you will be unable to trade with us. Professional market data costs $540 per month — despite being the exact same data — and is not something we are able to cover.

If you're unsure, review the CME's professional subscriber definition or consult a compliance advisor.

What happens if I self-certified as a professional by mistake when accepting the Exchange T&C?

If you selected Professional status, you will not be able to use your trading account. We are only able to provide market data and accounts to Non-Professional subscribers.

If this was selected by mistake, contact our support team with your account ID so we can assist with the correction process.

Is there a commission on trades?

Yes — trading commissions are built into the simulated environment to replicate real market conditions. Commissions count toward your PnL just as they would in a live account. For full commission details by instrument, see our website: https://goatfundedfutures.com/#instrument-list
