Can I use a VPS?

No. The use of Virtual Private Servers (VPS), cloud-hosted machines, or any form of remote server to access or trade your GFF account is strictly prohibited — on both evaluation and funded accounts, with no exceptions.

What exactly counts as a VPS or remote server?

Any setup where your trading platform runs on a machine that is not your own local, physical device. This includes:

  • Virtual Private Servers (VPS) from any provider, including trading-specific services (e.g. ChartVPS, NinjaTrader VPS partners, ForexVPS)

  • Cloud computing instances (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Vultr, Contabo, etc.)

  • Dedicated servers or datacenter-hosted machines

  • Remote desktop connections (RDP, AnyDesk, TeamViewer, Parsec) into any machine that is not physically yours

  • Cloud PC services (e.g. Windows 365, Shadow PC)

If your platform is running on hardware you cannot physically touch, it falls under this policy.

Why does GFF prohibit VPS usage?

VPS and remote server access undermine the integrity of our program in several ways:

  • Account sharing and copy trading. Remote servers make it trivial for multiple people to access the same account, or for one operator to run coordinated strategies across many accounts — both of which are prohibited under our Terms & Conditions.

  • Automation abuse. VPS environments are commonly used to run unattended automated systems 24/7, which conflicts with our requirement that you personally place and manage your trades.

  • Identity and location masking. Datacenter IPs obscure who is actually trading and from where, which prevents us from meeting our compliance obligations, including restricted-country checks.
