Can I add a daily loss limit to my Flex account?
Updated
Yes. When you buy a Flex Challenge you can turn on the daily loss limit option at checkout. The account then has a daily loss limit, and you pay less for it.
Flex without the option is unchanged. It has no daily loss limit in either phase.
The limit and the price
With the option:
| Account size | Daily loss limit | Price | Reset price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50K | $1,000 | $79 | $74 |
| 100K | $1,500 | $149 | $139 |
| 150K | $2,500 | $219 | $209 |
Without the option, Flex costs $119, $199 and $289, and a reset costs $109, $189 and $269. These prices include the current 50% discount. The checkout always shows the price you pay.
Hitting the limit closes the account
On Flex the daily loss limit is a hard breach. If your losses for the trading day reach the limit, the account is closed. It applies in the evaluation and on the funded account.
This is not how the daily loss limit works on EOD, 1-Day-Pass-Plan or Instant Classic, where reaching it pauses the account until the next trading day. On Flex there is no pause and no second chance.
You choose once, at checkout
The option can't be added or removed after purchase. An account bought without it can't be switched to the cheaper version, and an account bought with it can't have the limit taken off.
Resets keep it. If you reset a Flex evaluation that has the daily loss limit, the reset account has the same limit, and the reset costs less, see the table above.
The rest of the Flex rules
Everything else is in Flex Challenge: specifications, rules and payouts.
Should I take it?
Take it if you already stop trading early on a losing day, and you want the lower price.
Leave it off if a bad session sometimes runs deep. Without the option, a bad day costs you drawdown. With it, the same day can end the account.
